Michael Vaughn counsels clients throughout the company life cycle, from providing strategic and corporate structuring advice to founders at the very beginning, to representing clients in venture capital and growth financings, to advising on mergers and acquisitions, buying and selling assets, as well as general corporate law and governance matters. Michael also represents venture fund investors and their portfolio companies from initial investment through exit. He has particular experience advising entrepreneurs, investors, companies and their boards of directors, across an array of industries, including technology, life sciences, consumer packaged goods, web3 and cryptocurrency.

In addition to his work with clients, Michael focuses on innovation and resource management, helping the firm to deliver quality, efficient, experience-backed services to its clients. This includes creating and maintaining substantive legal resources, driving processes for efficiency and knowledge-sharing, developing operational best practices and implementing new technology to support the firm and its clients.

Prior to joining Kastner Gravelle LLP, Michael practiced as a corporate and securities attorney with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, P.C.

Before attending law school, Michael was a developer and information technology consultant, where he advised a wide range of clients, both in the U.S. and international, and implemented solutions in the technology, banking, transportation and government sectors.

Michael received his law degree from the Case Western Reserve School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Michigan.
