Jerry Galvan is a partner in Kastner Gravelle’s Corporate Group. He also serves as the Head of the firm’s Emerging Companies practice.

Jerry represents high-growth companies and venture capital firms in a broad range of matters, including debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate formations, general corporate and securities law, and secondary transactions.  

He advises clients engaged in early-stage seed financings through growth equity investments, and in both buy- and sell-side strategic transactions. Jerry also frequently serves as outside general counsel to private companies. His practice primarily focuses on businesses in the technology and technology-enabled services sectors, as well as consumer products and brand-driven enterprises.

Jerry began his legal career as a corporate attorney in the Austin, Texas office of Vinson & Elkins, LLP and has been practicing at Kastner Gravelle since 2011.

Jerry graduated with High Honors (top 5%) from the University of Texas School of Law where he was a member of the Texas Law Review and recipient of the Dean’s Achievement Award. He received his B.B.A. with honors from the Business Honors Program at the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business with an emphasis on Management Information Systems.

Before attending law school, Jerry worked as a Manager of Professional Services at Sungard Energy Systems where he directed project teams and developed code for energy trading software programs.
